Velayudham versus Mankatha

Vijay’s Velayudham and Ajith’s Mankatha are gearing up for release. They have planned to release both these films during the month of August.

Fans are getting ready to celebrate the release of these films in a big way by putting up posters, banners and cutouts. In order to prevent the clash between the Vijay fans and Ajith fans, talks are going on to release one of the films a week ahead. There is tough competition among the distributors to acquire the rights of Velayudham and Mankatha.

Mankatha is Ajith’s 50th film. Trisha is pairing with him. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu.
Velayudham which has Vijay in the lead role is directed by Raja. He had earlier directed films like Jayam, Santosh Subramaniam and M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi. Hansika and Genelia are pairing with Vijay in the film.
